About the founder
Introducing Liana, the driving force behind Tax'nJoy.
Liana's journey into the intricate world of international taxation began with her academic pursuits, she initially studied a bachelor in law and another in finance before delving deeper with a Master's degree in Belgium in European law. When finalising this degree, and although her plan was to go back to practicing as a lawyer in her home country, Liana realised that she wanted to pursue international taxes and that Brussels, a centre for multinationals' European headquarters, was the place to be.
Liana's career trajectory in the international tax landscape started in a big4 company, where she gained invaluable experience in transfer pricing and optimizing business models. However, her love for the sun led her to change her residence to Spain and her thirst for understanding issues from different points of view prompted her to transition to the "industry" side. She continued to discover the realm of cross-border taxes on the other side of the barricade, within tax teams of global multinationals and dynamic startups, where she gained a unique perspective on the challenges faced by businesses of all sizes.
Each step of this journey has contributed to the vision that is now Tax'nJoy: simplifying tax processes and making them accessible to entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes.
Being passionate about the digital world, in parallel to her work Liana studied diverse courses related to digital products and online businesses: a degree in Digital Product Management, a course on Digital Law, another one on Digital Taxes and most recently she also became a Digital Transformation agent.
Looking for location freedom and being driven by a desire to contribute to others' success with her knowledge, Liana created Tax'nJoy from scratch as a go-to place for knowledge and consulting on international tax setups for entrepreneurs. As an online entrepreneur herself Liana has been through the steps of building her own business and she can relate to the pains and anxieties of fellow online business owners.
Moreover as an expat herself for the last ten years, Liana understands the difficulties implied by changing countries, dealing with language barriers and with bureaucracies. For this reason she has developed a realistic and pragmatic approach to international tax strategies, looking always to adapt them to the clients' business and personal circumstances.
